When migrant workers first arrive in a new country, they often face uncertainty, unfamiliarity with the local community and in general lack of knowledge about their labour rights. This can lead to being exploited at work, feeling isolated and lost.
That is why the KYR – Know your rights platform not only provides useful information about their labour rights in an attractive and convenient way in one place in a country of their choice (Iceland, Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus and Austria), but also gives them the opportunity to get to know local migrants, receive support from or become a peer mentor, and pass on their knowledge to the local community.
